Almost eight kilometres over open water, fifteen quiet minutes between sky and sea.
The Hon Thom cable car leaves from the heart of Sunset Town, where the sun-coloured Mediterranean facades meet the sea. This guide brings together what guests most often ask at the Roma, Venice and Sakurakyo front desks before heading to the island: where the station is, what the ticket includes, and when to go so you are back in time for sunset at Kiss Bridge.

At 7,899.9 metres, the Hon Thom line was recognised by Guinness in 2018 as the longest three-rope cable car over the sea in the world. Each cabin carries around 30 passengers above the small islands of the An Thoi archipelago, with fishing villages, floating fish farms and jade-green water passing right beneath your feet. About fifteen minutes later you touch down on Hon Thom, an island of water slides, beaches and hillside attractions.
Where the cable car station is, and how to get there from your hotel
The cable car leaves from Anh Duong Station, inside Sunset Town in An Thoi ward, on the south of Phu Quoc. For guests staying in town this is a rare advantage: no taxi to book, no early drive across the island, just a short electric car ride to the station gate.
Guests of Roma Hotel, Sakurakyo Hotel & Spa and Venice Hotel ride to the station free of charge in the hotel’s electric car; just let the front desk know when you would like to leave. From Roma Hotel on Sorrento street the cable car tower rises at the end of the road, so if you prefer to walk, the cobbled streets will lead you there in no time.
