A day for the whole family in Sunset Town
Breakfast at Roma Restaurant & Coffee on the ground floor is served buffet-style in an open room that catches the early sun, with tables long enough for everyone to sit together. From there, Amalfi Street leads you on foot to the Hon Thom cable car in about nine minutes, with no taxi to think about. The first cabins run from mid-morning, and on the island the Aquatopia water park fills the hours until lunch.
Afternoons are for slowing down. Bai Kem beach is ten minutes away by car if the children still have energy, and the room is there if they do not. Every adult who books directly receives a thirty-minute massage at Sakurakyo Spa, a few minutes’ walk away on Amalfi Street.
Sunset Town is free to wander, and the evening walk takes you past Pearl Square and over Kiss Bridge, with Venice Hotel a few minutes further along the way. The first fireworks show begins at half past seven and is free to watch; a second, ticketed show closes the night with fireworks around half past nine, and the fireworks of both are in view from a Saphira or Rosetta balcony. Fireworks run every night, Tuesdays included, and reception sells tickets for the show and the cable car at preferential rates.

Saphira, Sabia and Fratello are each sized for four adults and one child under six, which is also how the Family Moments combo is priced. Choose Saphira for the sea and the fireworks, Sabia for the quieter garden side, and Fratello when the children are old enough for a room of their own next door.
Do you have connecting rooms?
Yes. Fratello is the only connecting room at Roma Hotel: a Queen room and a Twin room joined by an inner door, so parents and children keep separate rooms while staying within a few steps of each other.
Which rooms can see the fireworks?
Saphira (Family Ocean View) and Rosetta (Twin Ocean View) both have private balconies facing the sea, where the fireworks are set off. The first show begins at 19:30 and is free; the ticketed evening show ends with fireworks around 21:30. Fireworks run every night, Tuesdays included, and heavy weather can postpone them.
How does the airport shuttle work?
The shuttle is free for direct guests and runs to a fixed timetable, with pick-ups at 08:00, 10:00, 13:00, 16:00 and 18:00 from pillar 4 in the arrivals hall. Send your flight number to reception at least 24 hours before you land. Outside these times a private car can be arranged for a fee, listed in the table above.
